How the two models differ

Same power class. Not the same device.

Both are 120W laser igniters. The KyberSpark X is larger — longer range, more carry accessories, theatrical form. The Core V2 is compact with instrument-style battery and voltage readouts. The difference is real and worth understanding before you order.

Choose the KyberSpark X if

You want the longer stated range, a device with visible presence — on a shelf, at a campfire, as a gift — or if the carry accessories (bracket, straps, goggles all in the box) matter to your use. It is not a pocket device. At 30 cm it reads as a serious piece of kit, and that is part of what you are buying.

Choose the KyberSpark Core V2 if

You prefer a compact form that fits a jacket pocket, want to see battery level and operating voltage before every session, and the 1–10 meter stated range covers what you have in mind. The aluminum-alloy box it ships in is not just packaging — it becomes the storage case.

One note on the KyberSpark X: the product specification lists 120W, but the shipping documentation references a "160W machine." This discrepancy exists in the product data and has not been resolved. The listed rated power is 120W. If this matters to your decision, see the KyberSpark X FAQ or contact us before ordering.

Do not direct the laser at people or eyes. Protective eyewear is included with both models — goggles with the KyberSpark X, anti-laser glasses with the Core V2. The wavelength coverage and certification of the included eyewear for this specific device has not been confirmed in the product data. Treat it as a provided accessory and verify separately if your safety requirements demand a rated standard.
Batteries
Both models use rechargeable battery systems. Whether the batteries are included in the retail box has not been confirmed in the product data for either model. If this affects your purchase decision, contact us before ordering.

Both 120W models carry a 30-day return policy and a one-year warranty.
